I survived one more week and this mark my 3rd week at home..
Still a little messy at home for me but I am getting to be better at everything at do now… yeah!!!!
My daughter is already use to see my everyday in the mornings and the happiness in her face makes my day, also my son now gets his breakfast done at home. He used to have breakfast at school because I did not had enough time. I feel so guilty now!!
My husband is happy because he has a fresh warm dinner everyday and guess what…. I find out that I am a very good cook… I really do not know what I am going to cook until I have the ingredients and put them together.. lol . When I lived with my mother she used to said “mami, come and cook with me so you can learn something”(Sorry Mom, I did not do so good learning to cook)”
But like a good Colombian we eat a lot of fried plantains or how we call it “tostones”,
for breakfast we can’t miss our Arepas with chesse; and as you can see Daniela love them both.
I think that now that I am able to pass on to my children my heritage is so much fun. Been able to cook “Colombian food” to them is a way for them to know where their parents come from and for my husband is a way to bring back memories.
This week hasn’t been only about cooking, it has also been about changing lots of diapers , running around the house like a crazy chicken following Dani, making funny faces, coloring and painting, listening to kids music and watching cartoons. I also tried to clean the backyard but with Dani was almost impossible, but we had a good time playing out side.
In spite of everything it
was one week full of learning and sweet memories.
I still struggling with the loss of my income..maybe I am thinking so much about it.. But i feel bad leaving everything to my husband, I hope I can get some income from home..
