Daniela’s Monthly favorite

Since I missed “Dani’s favorite” post last month I am writing this post early this month. In this occasion we both agree that her favorite product was her Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing cream.

When she was just a little baby she started with, I can say: a pretty severe case of eczema; She was treated by her doctor and we tried quite a few different creams.

The KidsHealth website explains Eczema like this..

The term eczema refers to a number of different skin conditions in which the skin is red and irritated and occasionally results in small, fluid-filled bumps that become moist and ooze. The most common cause of eczema is atopic dermatitis, sometimes called infantile eczema although it occurs in infants and older children.

Signs and Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of eczema can vary widely during the early phases. Between 2 and 6 months of age (and almost always before they’re 5 years old), kids with eczema usually develop itchy, dry, red skin and small bumps on their cheeks, forehead, or scalp. The rash may spread to the extremities (the arms and legs) and the trunk, and red, crusted, or open lesions may appear on any area affected.

Luckily, Dani was treated fast and she did not suffer from any open lesions; it was only the rash that spread thru her legs and arms. Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing cream is a product that she uses every single day since she was 2 months old.

After we tried most over the counter eczema relief creams none of them seems to make my baby comfortable. Some creams were too greasy and they used to take a long time to heal the eczema on my baby.

When we choose to try Aveeno I was not aware that Aveeno also have Eczema Therapy for Babies; I was really glad to try it because Aveeno is a brand known for the use of natural ingredients like oatmeal that helps recover the natural moisture of the skin amount others.

Aveeno Baby 2

Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing cream is Fragance – free and steroid- free, safe to used as many times as need it and you can see how your baby skin start to change to a normal more moisture and healthy looking skin. No more redness, itchiness or uncomfortable bumps. Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy works and it works fast… Even thou the winter months are the hardest because the eczema tent to worsen in the cold I am not worry … I know that Aveeno is going to keep my baby skin moist and clean from any eczema.

I now used it with Dani just twice a day after her morning shower and night time bath. I know that this condition is going to get better by the time pass but, I also know that thanks to Aveeno my baby has a clean, healthy looking skin.

Have you ever tried any Aveeno product? Let me know what your think…

  1. Both I and one of my identical twins suffers from eczema. While we find Aveeno creams to be good at preventing an outbreak, and their oatmeal bath great for soothing one, we tried this cream and didn’t find it to be very effective at treating it. 🙁 Thanks for linking with #TwinklyTuesday.

  2. Great review! Hopefully the product will continue to give your little one relief! I am currently using Aveeno Baby natural protection sunscreen for my 13 month old, and it works great. I love that their products contain natural ingredients and can be used even on sensitive skin.

  3. Sounds like a great product. I haven’t tried any Aveeno products yet but I was tempted to buy their baby shampoo I saw in the supermarket the other day. It was for both body and hair and looked like a good product – a little on the expensive side, so I’ll wait til my daughter actually needs some new shampoo, maybe I’ll write a review when we finally get to try it! #Alittlebitofeverything

  4. I haven’t tried them, but it’s good to know. Our little guy had bad eczema in his first winter, however, this winter his skin has been pretty good. I’ll keep this in mind in case he flairs up again. All the doctor said was to give him steroid cream :S
