Last week we were off to well deserve it relaxing week. We didn’t have a specific place to go to until last-minute. We know we wanted to go out but wasn’t sure which way to take.
While searching on Groupon I found this great deal for The Chateau Resort in the Poconos, PA. I when ahead and start researching a little bit for this hotel but it was very minimal (almost nothing) what I could find.
I do not hesitated and book out stay for 3 nights and 4 days. Like I mention it was a pretty awesome deal, so awesome I thought it was not possible. It was only $89 dollars per night plus a $20 dollars hotel credit (per night as well).
Our arrival day was Tuesday and as any other hotel the check in is after 4 p.m. We arrived really early (at around 12:30 to 1 pm). I took my chance and when to the front desk to asked if we can do an early check in. The woman in the front desk was really nice and sweet and without any excitation gives us our door “key” and our $20 dollars tickets that came with the reservation.
My first impression was: “Wow, this view is beautiful” the front desk has a spectacular view to the lake and is was awesome!!!. Our room on the second floor was clean with flat screen TV, coffee maker, a basic double bed room. Unfortunately, there was not microwave or refrigerator. I was told I had to pay extra for the micro-mini refrigerator per night.
Walking around the hotel:
The Chateau Resort has one indoor pool and one nice outdoor pool both with acclimatized water, Jacuzzi, Gym room, Arcade room, restaurant and Lounge area.
The Chateau Resort has a perfect location for all kind of attractions:
- It is almost 5 min away(maybe less) from Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark
- 8 min drive from the Big Pocono State Park.
- 10 min drive from The Crossings Premium Outlets 2.,
- 10 min drive (maybe less) to Pocono Cheesecake Factory,
- 25 min drive to Bushkill Falls
- 20 min drive to Pocono Indian Museum
and a lot more places to visit, I am just mentioning the places we visited this time.
Overall, this was a good stay; I will suggest putting one more person in the restaurant at breakfast time. Both times we were there it got busy for just one person. We waited a lot for our check and more for our credit card back. It is a good place to stay, if you have kids they will have a fun time in the arcade room and the pools. If you are looking for a peaceful, more relaxing stay
(just like us)then, this is a good place for you.
