Today I’ll be sharing with you this great campaign that UNICEF has put together to give our children the power to get active and save lives.
Yes, this is a powerful message but, as we all know part of the world is going some very difficult times. War and hanger are part of many children day-to-day and we can’t be indifferent to what is happening that the other side of the world. We now have the opportunity to help and UNICEF is giving us that chance.
As mention in their site: UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to put children first and help save and protect the world’s most vulnerable children. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s work through fundraising, advocacy and education in the United States. For more than sixty years, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has put children first, engaging kids in the U.S. to help kids around the world by Trick or Treating for UNICEF.
UNICEF Kid Power is also U.S. Fund for UNICEF program that keep our children motivated to get active and at the same time gives them the opportunity to help save lives.
What is the UNICEF Kid Power Band?:
UNICEF Kid Power Band gives kids Missions, where they learn about new cultures while they get active. The more the kids move and stay active the more points they will earn. The points will unlock funding UNICEF uses to deliver food packets to children in need around the world.
It is very easy to get the kid active and help with this great cause. They can used the band every time they play their favorite sport, while dancing, running or just by walking.
Since winter is fast approaching and is getting very cool here in NY. What best that to get the kids active than by walking around the mall for some last-minute Christmas shopping for the family.
The band will count their steps and that is how the start getting points. At the end of the day you can sync the band with the UNICEF Kid Power app and it will tell you what you unlock.
There is not excuse now. We can all help to change the lives of many children that deserve something better. We can’t take everything we have for granted. It is time to teach our children to give back.
