🌟 Our Magical Visit to the LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival – A Fantasy Winter Fairyland post thumbnail image

There’s something truly enchanting about the holiday season on Long Island — the lights, the laughter, the cozy moments spent with family. This year, our holiday adventures reached new heights as we were invited to attend as press for For The Love To at the LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival in Eisenhower Park.

The festival’s newest theme, Fantasy Winter Fairyland, transformed the park into a glowing dreamland of art, color, and imagination. From the moment we met Lumi — LuminoCity’s adorable mascot — it felt like stepping into a storybook brought to life with millions of twinkling lights.

Every holiday season, I look for experiences that go beyond gifts — ones that bring our family closer. LuminoCity did exactly that. Watching my kids’ eyes light up under a sky full of shimmering displays reminded me what the holidays are really about — joy, wonder, and togetherness.

You might be wondering, what makes LuminoCity so special compared to other holiday light shows on Long Island?
It’s the storytelling — every display feels like part of a glowing fantasy world. From the towering Castle in the Sky to walkways filled with whimsical creatures, the artistry here is breathtaking.

Our kids couldn’t stop pointing at the glowing unicorns and sparkling trees. Each turn led to a new discovery, making the festival both visually stunning and emotionally heartwarming. LuminoCity truly blends art, light, and joy into an unforgettable experience.

🎟️ Plan Your Visit to LuminoCity Holiday Lights Festival

LuminoCity takes place each winter at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. Parking is free and conveniently close to the entrance. The park is stroller-friendly, and the paths are wide enough for families with little ones to explore comfortably.

The festival operates on timed entry tickets, which helps manage crowds. You can grab snacks and hot cocoa inside — something we loved on a chilly evening!

How long does the LuminoCity experience take? On average, plan for about 45 minutes to an hour, but if you’re anything like us, you might spend extra time admiring the details (and taking way too many photos!).

🚂 Lumi Express & Festival Highlights

Our night started aboard the brand-new Lumi Express Holiday Train — Eisenhower Park’s first-ever holiday train ride! The train loops around sections of the glowing displays, giving families a fun and unique view of the festival.

What were our kids’ favorite moments? Definitely the Snow Dream Slide, where laughter echoed through the air as they ran back up for another turn.

We also loved Lumi’s Utopia Children’s Art Showcase, featuring glowing sculptures inspired by real kids’ drawings. Seeing their artwork transformed into life-size lights was one of the sweetest moments of the night.

No visit is complete without a stop at the Lumi Gift Shop! Inside, you’ll find adorable Lumi plush toys, sparkling ornaments, and glowing keepsakes that let you bring the magic home.

We picked up a few ornaments for our tree (and a little something for a future giveaway on the blog!). It’s also the perfect place to grab gifts for fellow light-lovers — or to add an extra touch of sparkle to your own décor
