New Year Vision Board and Goal Setting: How I’m Starting the Year with Planners With Purpose

New Year Vision Board and Goal Setting: How I’m Starting the Year with Planners With Purpose post thumbnail image

Every year, right around this time, I feel that familiar mix of emotions—gratitude for everything the year brought, relief that we made it through another busy season, and excitement for what’s ahead. The end of the year always makes me slow down just enough to reflect… and if I’m being honest, it also reminds me how easy it is to lose sight of myself once life gets busy again.

That’s why this year, instead of creating a long list of New Year resolutions that feel overwhelming, I’m focusing on New Year vision board and goal setting. It feels gentler, more intentional, and honestly, much easier to stick with.

This mindset feels very similar to how I approach other fresh starts I’ve shared here on the blog—especially when it comes to resetting routines and being more mindful about what we bring into our lives, like I talked about in my post on the best places to get free samples (perfect if you’re trying to improve habits without overspending).

Two tools that have really helped me approach the New Year this way are from Planners With Purpose—a guided self-care planner and a vision board book that makes goal setting feel creative instead of stressful.

Why I’m Choosing Vision Boards Over Traditional Resolutions This Year

I’ve learned (the hard way) that resolutions based on pressure don’t last. The ones that stick are the ones connected to how I want to feel, not just what I want to accomplish.

For me, vision boards feel very similar to how I plan meaningful experiences for my family—focusing on memories, balance, and joy instead of a packed to-do list. It’s the same intention I bring when sharing experiences like our Bluey x CAMP visits, where the goal isn’t perfection, but connection and fun.

About Planners With Purpose (Why Their Products Fit My Lifestyle)

What really drew me to Planners With Purpose is how thoughtful and realistic their products feel. These aren’t planners you buy and forget about after two weeks. They’re designed to support reflection, mindfulness, and growth—without making you feel behind.

I appreciate tools that support mental wellness in a practical way, similar to other self-care favorites I’ve shared here, like my experience with Confidence in a Cream from IT Cosmetics, where self-care is about feeling good in small, everyday moments.

The Two Tools I’m Using for New Year Vision Board and Goal Setting

When it comes to starting the year intentionally, I’ve learned that having both a big-picture tool and a daily support system makes all the difference.

That balance is something I also see play out across the community each week during my Wednesday Link-Up Party, where small habits, shared ideas, and consistency really add up over time.

My Experience with the Planners With Purpose Self-Care Planner

The Planners With Purpose Self-Care Planner has quickly become part of my daily routine. It’s a guided daily wellness journal, which I personally love because I don’t always want to stare at a blank page wondering what to write.

Some days I write more, some days just a few lines—and both feel enough.

This planner fits perfectly alongside other wellness tools I’ve shared on the blog, like my HLTH Code review, where the focus is on supporting health and balance in a realistic way.

Creating a New Year Vision Board with the Vision Board Book

Now let’s talk about the fun part—the Vision Board Book.

This book includes 1,200+ images and quotes, all organized by life themes like career, family, wellness, travel, and mindset. Everything is ready to cut and use, which makes the whole process feel enjoyable instead of overwhelming.

I love pairing this activity with quiet, cozy moments at home—similar to how I approach seasonal planning and gift guides on the blog, where intention always matters more than doing all the things.

How I’m Approaching Vision Board Creation This Year

I keep it simple:

Then, I use the Self-Care Planner to support those goals day by day.

This approach feels very aligned with how I plan content, collaborations, and even family experiences—slow, intentional, and sustainable.

Who I Think These Products Are Perfect For

I’d genuinely recommend this New Year vision board and goal setting setup to:

They also make a really thoughtful New Year gift—similar to the types of meaningful, practical gifts I share in my seasonal gift guides.

Starting the New Year with Intention (Not Pressure)

If you’re anything like me, you want the New Year to feel hopeful—not heavy.

Using Planners With Purpose has helped me approach New Year vision board and goal setting with more grace and a lot less pressure. The Self-Care Planner supports the everyday moments, while the Vision Board Book keeps the bigger picture in sight.

Together, they’ve helped me start the year feeling more grounded, inspired, and aligned—and that’s something I’ll be carrying with me well beyond January.
