Tree Town Toys and Hasbro are bringing classic family games into a new screen-free format with the launch of Yes & Know trivia game books featuring MONOPOLY and CLUE.
Designed for kids ages 8 and up, these new invisible ink activity books combine puzzles, trivia, mazes, brain teasers, and magic-reveal activities inspired by the classic Hasbro games so many of us grew up playing.
And MONOPOLY and CLUE are only the beginning.
Two more Hasbro-inspired Yes & Know books—OPERATION and BATTLESHIP—are already scheduled to arrive in September 2026.
As someone who is always looking for screen-free activities that are easy to bring along on family trips, these immediately caught my attention. I especially love that they take games families already recognize and turn them into something kids can easily enjoy at home or on the go.
What Are Yes & Know Trivia Game Books?
While this collaboration with Hasbro is new, Yes & Know has actually been around for more than 50 years.
Tree Town Toys recently relaunched the classic brand with an updated Surprize Ink! format that brings the fun of invisible ink activities to a new generation of kids.
Now, Tree Town Toys is combining that concept with some of Hasbro’s most recognizable family games.
The first two releases are:
- MONOPOLY Yes & Know
- CLUE Yes & Know
Each book features colorful content along with magic-reveal games, puzzles, mazes, trivia challenges, and brain-teasing activities.
Instead of setting up an entire board game, kids can simply grab a book and start playing almost anywhere.
That’s one of the things that makes these Yes & Know trivia game books especially interesting for families looking for portable, screen-free activities for kids.
What’s Inside MONOPOLY Yes & Know?
MONOPOLY has been part of family game nights for generations, so seeing it transformed into an interactive activity book is such a fun idea.
MONOPOLY Yes & Know takes inspiration from the strategy and gameplay of the classic board game and turns it into a collection of activities kids can work through at their own pace.
They’ll find puzzles, trivia questions, mazes, games, and brain teasers while using the Yes & Know Surprize Ink! format to reveal answers along the way.
I especially like the idea of giving kids something connected to a game they already recognize while offering a completely different way to interact with it.
And let’s be honest—MONOPOLY fun without having to keep track of all those little pieces while traveling sounds pretty good to me!
CLUE Yes & Know Adds a Little Mystery
For kids who love mysteries, riddles, and figuring things out, CLUE Yes & Know might be the one that immediately catches their attention.
CLUE is already centered around observation, logic, and solving a mystery, which makes it a natural fit for a puzzle and trivia book.
The Yes & Know version includes puzzles, mazes, trivia challenges, games, and other brain-teasing activities inspired by the classic mystery game.
Kids who already enjoy detective games, riddles, or spy toys and activities may especially enjoy this one.
Because the answers are revealed through the invisible ink format, there’s also that little element of surprise as kids work through the book.
I think that’s part of what makes these more interesting than a traditional activity book. Kids get to solve something and then discover whether they got it right.

A Screen-Free Activity Kids Can Take Anywhere
One of the biggest reasons these new Yes & Know trivia game books caught my attention is how easy they seem to take on the go.
I’m always interested in activities that don’t require a charger, Wi-Fi connection, or another device—especially when we’re traveling.
These books could easily come along for:
- Road trips
- Flights
- Restaurants
- Waiting rooms
- Hotel stays
- After-school downtime
- Rainy days at home
- Family vacations
For families, having a few portable activities ready can make those long stretches of waiting much easier.
Instead of immediately reaching for a tablet or phone, an activity book gives kids another option.
And because these aren’t simply coloring books, older kids can stay engaged with trivia, problem-solving, mazes, and challenges.
That’s also why I think these could be a good addition to a road trip activity bag. They’re small enough to bring along without adding another bulky toy to everything else we’re already packing.

There’s something about revealing a hidden answer that makes an ordinary activity feel more like a game.

This was honestly one of my first thoughts when I learned about them.
I think Yes & Know trivia game books have a lot of potential as road trip activities, especially for older kids.
When we’re traveling, I always appreciate entertainment that doesn’t involve bringing a lot of pieces along. Traditional travel games can be fun, but pieces inevitably seem to disappear underneath a car seat or somewhere in the hotel room.
An activity book keeps everything much more contained.
The combination of trivia, puzzles, mazes, and hidden answers also gives kids different activities to move between instead of repeating the same type of puzzle on every page.
For our family trips, I like having several screen-free options available and letting kids choose what they’re in the mood to do.
What Ages Are Yes & Know Trivia Game Books For?
Tree Town Toys recommends the new MONOPOLY and CLUE Yes & Know books for children ages 8 and up.
That makes them especially interesting for older elementary-age kids and tweens who may be starting to outgrow simpler activity books but still enjoy puzzles, trivia, games, and challenges.
I can also see these working well for kids who already enjoy the original MONOPOLY and CLUE games and want another way to experience them.
They could make fun gifts for kids who love puzzles and trivia, mystery fans, frequent travelers, or families trying to add more screen-free entertainment at home.
I also think they’d make easy birthday gifts or stocking stuffers later in the year—especially because the familiar MONOPOLY and CLUE names make it pretty easy to choose one based on what a child already enjoys.
Are Yes & Know Books Educational?
While these books are designed primarily for fun, many of the activities naturally encourage kids to use skills that overlap with learning.
Trivia challenges encourage kids to think and recall information, while puzzles and mazes can involve problem-solving, concentration, observation, and logical thinking.
The CLUE-inspired activities are particularly interesting because the original game already encourages players to pay attention to information and use logic to narrow down possibilities.
For parents, I think the biggest advantage is that kids can practice some of those skills while simply feeling like they’re playing.
And because everything happens inside an activity book, there’s no screen required.

I love seeing classic toys and games reinvented in ways that still encourage kids to think, play, and use their imaginations.
The new Yes & Know trivia game books seem to do exactly that.
Instead of trying to replace MONOPOLY or CLUE, they give kids another way to experience familiar games through puzzles, trivia, mazes, brain teasers, and invisible ink challenges.
For me, the portable format is an added bonus. Anything that can easily slip into a backpack or travel bag immediately gets my attention as a parent, especially when it gives kids another screen-free option during those long drives or quiet moments at the hotel.
With MONOPOLY and CLUE launching first and OPERATION and BATTLESHIP arriving next, this is definitely a collection I’ll be keeping an eye on.
