Bluey x CAMP With Kids: A Parent’s Guide Before You Visit
If you’re planning a visit to Bluey x CAMP with kids, you’re probably wondering many of the same things I did before our family went. Is it best for toddlers or older kids? Should we arrive early? Is it worth bringing a stroller? And what can parents expect once they get there?
As a mom, I always like knowing those little details before heading somewhere new, especially when I’m planning a day in New York City with my daughter.
After experiencing Bluey x CAMP ourselves, I wanted to share a few things I wish I had known beforehand. My hope is that this guide helps you feel a little more prepared so you can simply enjoy the experience and focus on making memories together.

Is Bluey x CAMP Good for Younger Kids?
One of the questions I hear most often is whether Bluey x CAMP is a good fit for younger children.
In my opinion, absolutely.
The activities are designed around imagination, movement, and play rather than sitting still, which makes it a great experience for preschoolers and younger elementary-aged kids. Throughout our visit, I noticed children of different ages participating, laughing, and interacting with the CAMP Counselors.
Even if your child is a little shy at first, the welcoming atmosphere helps many kids feel comfortable as the experience unfolds.
What Should Parents Bring?
You don’t need to pack much, but there are a few things I’d recommend bringing.
Comfortable clothes
Kids will be moving, dancing, crawling, and participating throughout the experience, so comfortable clothing and sneakers are definitely the way to go.
Your phone or camera
There are so many sweet moments you’ll want to remember. I found myself reaching for my phone several times because my daughter was having so much fun.
A little extra time
If your schedule allows, don’t rush in and out. Giving yourself a few extra minutes before and after the experience makes the day feel much more relaxed.
Arrive a Little Early
One thing I’m really glad we did was arrive before our scheduled time.
It gave us a chance to browse the CAMP store, look around, and build a little excitement before stepping through the famous Magic Door.
Those extra few minutes made the experience feel less rushed and gave my daughter time to soak everything in.
What Happens After the Experience?
After the adventure ends, families exit through the CAMP store, which is filled with toys, books, games, and Bluey merchandise.
My daughter loved taking one last look around before we left, and it was a nice way to wind down after all the excitement.
Whether you decide to bring home a souvenir or simply browse, it’s worth leaving a little extra time at the end of your visit.
Tips I Learned After Visiting Bluey x CAMP With Kids
Looking back on our Bluey x CAMP with kids experience, here are a few things I’d recommend to other families before they visit.
Let your child take the lead.
Every child experiences Bluey x CAMP with kids a little differently. Some jump right into every activity, while others like to observe first before joining in. Both are completely okay. Let your little one explore at their own pace—you might be surprised by how quickly they become part of the adventure.
Join in on the fun.
One of my favorite parts of Bluey x CAMP with kids was seeing parents laughing, dancing, and playing right alongside their children. Don’t be afraid to join in, be a little silly, and enjoy the moment together. Those shared laughs ended up being some of my favorite memories from our visit.
Stay present.
Of course you’ll want plenty of photos, but don’t forget to put your phone down every once in a while. Some of my favorite memories from our Bluey x CAMP with kids adventure weren’t captured on camera—they were simply those little moments of watching my daughter smile, laugh, and completely lose herself in the fun.

One Thing That Surprised Me
Something I didn’t expect during Bluey x CAMP with kids was how quickly my daughter became completely immersed in the experience.
Within minutes, she wasn’t thinking about anything else around her. She was laughing, exploring, and fully engaged in every activity.
As a parent, that’s honestly one of my favorite things to see. Watching her use her imagination, interact with the CAMP Counselors, and simply enjoy being a kid reminded me why experiences like this are so special.
When your child is genuinely having fun and using their imagination, you know you’ve found something truly memorable.
Would I Recommend Bluey x CAMP With Kids?
Without hesitation, yes.
As a parent, I always appreciate experiences that encourage families to play together rather than simply watching from the sidelines. That’s exactly what makes Bluey x CAMP stand out.
It’s fun, interactive, and full of those little moments that become lasting family memories.

After the experience, we walked through the CAMP store, and it was hard not to buy everything. The Bluey plushies, books, and toys were adorable, and honestly, my daughter still sleeps with the Bluey she picked out that day. It was the perfect way to carry the fun home with us.
