Springtime is one of our favorite seasons for family adventures—and this year. We kicked it off with a visit to the Eggcellent Easter Celebration at Dutch Wonderland! As soon as we stepped into this magical amusement park in Lancaster, PA, we were immersed in a world of pastel colors, cheerful music, and endless family-friendly fun. If you’re planning an Easter getaway, I can’t recommend this enchanting event enough.
Why Dutch Wonderland is Perfect for an Easter Weekend Getaway with Kids
Dutch Wonderland has always been known as a top amusement park for families in Pennsylvania, but during Easter, it transforms into a spring wonderland. From beautifully decorated paths lined with thousands of blooming flowers to themed attractions full of surprises. Every corner of the park felt like stepping into a storybook.
This year’s Eggcellent Easter Celebration at Dutch Wonderland ran on weekends from April 5 through April 27. And we were lucky enough to experience it firsthand. The park was alive with festive activities. Meet-and-greets with Tuft the Bunny, and a fun scavenger hunt that had our kids smiling all day.

Meeting Tuft the Bunny – A Must for Families Visiting Lancaster at Easter
One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Tuft the Bunny—Dutch Wonderland’s very own Easter mascot. He greeted families with high-fives and hugs, and the kids absolutely loved taking photos with him. For even more fun, there’s the option to Dine with Tuft at Merlin’s Pizza & Pasta Buffet, where Tuft hops by your table for a special meet-and-greet.

Don’t Miss the Royal Egg Hunt – Top Easter Egg Hunt in Lancaster, PA
The Royal Egg Hunt was such a creative and engaging activity for the kids (and honestly, we parents enjoyed it too!). We picked up our egg tracker maps at the entrance and went on a mission to help Tuft find his missing Easter eggs hidden throughout the park. The excitement of spotting each egg—and the chance to win a prize—made this one of the best parts of the day.

Family Easter Activities in Dutch Wonderland
We spent plenty of time at Bunny Hop Plaza, located near Mill Stream Eatery, where there were interactive games, springtime crafts, juggling acts, and character appearances that kept the energy high. Storytime Corner with Princess Brooke was a sweet moment of calm where the kids got to enjoy magical tales in a cozy corner of the park.
Of Course, the Rides Were a Hit!
Beyond all the Easter activities, Dutch Wonderland’s classic rides were open and just as fun as ever. From the Kingdom Coaster to the Wonderland Special Train, we squeezed in as many rides as we could. Our family especially loved walking through Whirligig Lane, where the interactive color-themed challenges brought out the giggles and smiles.
