Today was a very exciting day for two things. First, I was invited to the first episode of #Mamarazzi. A show created for the talented ladies from The Moms.
Second, it was going to be my first time going Downtown and passing by the World Trade Center site ever since the attacks happened. Visiting Downtown has not been on the list (for places to visit in NYC) but since we are passing close by why not, right? So my first time visiting Downtown Manhattan was in May 2017.
Walking by Downtown Manhattan
Don’t get me wrong… I have been in Manhattan many times and thanks to this blogging world even more than years before.
But, I always avoid Visiting DownTown at least on this side of NYC… Why? I didn’t think that I was ready for it. Yes, It has been many years but I still remember that tragic day vividly.
Today, when walking to the Subway station and knowing that my stop was going to be the World Trade Center I started to feel really anxious.
Exiting the Subway
From here you can see the new Westfield Mall at the World Trade Center site and right behind is the Freedom Tower, really impressive!.
Right between these 2 massive constructions are the 9/11 memorials. Yes, I walk right by the 2 reflecting pools. But, Even though I saw most of the visitors here posing for the perfect picture I really had a hard time taking any pictures here. I had to have a sit and offer a prayer.
The time there was short; It was time for me to head over to my destination the TIME Inc. building where that show was going to be filmed.
Event Time
Now at the entrance and after Check-In one of the organizers took us to the 8th floor; where the first thing that grabbed my attention was the view!!!!
Today was just a beautiful and windy day!!!
While we wait to enter the set we had time to catch up with other bloggers, and of course connecting with some others. Every time bloggers get together is like a big family reunion.
The show was about to start and the special guest for this first live stream episode was Alicia Silverstone.
She talked about her new movie ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul’ coming out in theaters on May 19. Alicia also talked about motherhood and career.
It was a pretty awesome experience.
I can totally understand your mixed feeling … after just a tragic event at that location … I appreciate you sharing your day with us.
Wow you take great pictures looks like you had a great time perfect post thanks for sharing
Sounds like a fun day – but I can understand all the emotions of a visit to the world trade centre site. Thanks for sharing you day in pictures!

Oh my: as a Midwest/country/homebody girl, I’ve never been to New York State, much less Manhattan. Thank you for giving me this virtual tour. #alittlebitofeverything
HI, I was in downtown Manhattan when they were building the 9/11 Memorial and it was a haunting place. #alittlebitofeveryting
