Summer break is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited to spend quality time with our little ones. However, with the excitement comes the challenge of keeping them entertained all day long. As much as we love spending time with our kids, sometimes it can be tough to come up with fun activities that keep them engaged and happy. That’s why in this article, I want to share some of the games we use during this time (and any other time, of course) keeping kids entertained during summer break and offer some ideas for how you can make the most out of this special time together. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and let’s get started!
The Best Way To Keep The Kids Entertain This Summer
A brand that we really love and enjoy at home is Goliath Games their wide variety of games is perfect of kids of all ages. Since I have the best of both worlds Goliath has made my life so much easy.
I love to spend time with my teenage boy and finding games that can challenge him is always a plus.
That is why we both enjoy playing Kwirky.
Kwirky is a fast-moving, quick-thinking, fun question and answer bluff and banter quiz game for family and friends. You have to answer against the clock, even if you don’t know, by convincing others you do 🙂 Quick wit and cheeky confidence are what you need and also as important as knowledge in this game where you decide the answers!
The game comes with 288 Kwirky Cards which is equal to 1152 questions, a Kwirky die, a sand timer, and the rules sheet.
For 2 to 4 players.
Also as important of spending time with my big boy is having a time with my little one.
Pop Rocket
Pop Rocket is a new game and although you can’t get your hands on a copy of it yet I am here to show you how much fun it is. It is definitely one of my favorite Goliath Games. Give yourself plenty of space for this game as the stars really pop all over the place! Pull the fuse and watch the “flame” on the cord get closer to the rocket and then…POP!
Players race to set up star-catchers before the rocket pops be the first to fill your constellation with stars to win fun, the built-in timer starts when you ignite the fuse – no batteries required! fast-paced, exciting activities that kids love for 2-4 players, ages 4 and up.
Catch The Fox
This hungry fox is ready to stuff all the chickens into his pockets. But, be careful when there are too many chickens, his pants will fall and the chickens will escape.
This game is super fun and really exciting for the kids. Their expectation of when the fox’s pants will fall is the funniest part.
How to Play the Game:
You roll the dice to see how many chickens to add into the fox’s pockets and push his head one time. Before you know it, the fox will lose his pants and the chickens will roll everywhere. Rescue the chickens and return them to your chicken coop. Be the first player to fill up your coop to win!
In Conclusion
As parents, we must strive to provide our children with a well-rounded education that incorporates both playtime and structured learning activities. By doing so, we can give our kids the tools they need to succeed while still allowing them ample time for imagination and exploration. After all, childhood is a magical time where anything is possible – let’s make sure we help our children make the most of it!
