Every year, people from all over the world gather at this 13,000-square-foot Christmas village to experience something truly special—a visit with Santa Claus himself.

To make your experience even more enjoyable, we recommend making a reservation in advance. This way, you can spend less time waiting in line and more time getting into the holiday spirit. Don’t worry if you haven’t booked in advance; Santa’s Elves will be there to help you make on-the-spot reservations. As long as there’s space available, the team will help you with your reservation.

Visiting New York City

Macy’s Santaland® is a popular destination, attracting approximately 170,000 visitors each year. The reservation system is designed to minimize wait times. By allowing visitors to join the line at their preferred time, ensuring a fantastic holiday experience.

This year, there’s a new feature for those visiting Santaland on Fridays through Sundays. You can choose to skip the Santaland village and take the Santa Express Lane, which leads directly to Santa himself. By selecting this option during the reservation process, you’ll wait in a separate line before meeting Santa. Please note that time slots for the Santa Express Lane are subject to availability.

Let The Journey Begging

Your magical journey begins with stunning holiday window displays that set the stage for the enchanting moments to come. As you pass by the Hallmark Channel Ticket Window, excitement builds, and you’ll soon board the Macy’s Santaland Express. This delightful train facade will transport you through a hidden world of winter wonder. With North Pole villages and snowy fields, all leading to your meeting with Mr. Kringle.

Once you disembark from the train, you’ll find yourself in a captivating winter wonderland—the North Pole! Santa’s Elves eagerly await your arrival, surrounded by shimmering lights, garlands, and sparkling crystals that adorn every corner, creating a truly magical atmosphere. At The Welcome Station, Santa’s little helpers will guide you. Ensuring you’re prepared for your highly anticipated visit with the jolly old man. As you explore the dreamlike town, make sure to stop by the North Pole’s Kinder® Sweet Shoppe, where you’ll find mouthwatering chocolate treats perfect for the holiday season.

Of course, the beloved Aflac Ducks will be there too, joyfully celebrating the holiday festivities just as they have in years past. As you continue your journey, you’ll enter The Enchanted Forest, a whimsical world filled with igloos, ice sculptures, Christmas trees, holly, and colorful poinsettias. Children of all ages will be delighted by the animatronic animal tree decorating scene, providing endless joy and amusement.

Find a Magical World

Following the path through The Enchanted Forest, you’ll arrive at the majestic Rainbow Bridge, a sight that will leave you in awe. The sound of train whistles will greet you as you approach the impressive Lionel Trains® Industrial City. This incredible display showcases six complete sets of authentic trains and tracks, encircling a magnificent six-foot-tall Christmas tree. These trains are on their way to visit Santa Claus, carrying last-minute holiday wish lists. The display includes a variety of steam engines, tankers, and locomotives.

Continuing on, you’ll reach Santa’s Workshop. Where all the magical trinkets and gadgets are imagined, constructed, and prepared to be loaded onto Santa’s sleigh, brimming with glittering presents. As you pass through Town Hall and peek around the corner, you’ll catch a glimpse of a cozy stable.
