Having time with the kids in the kitchen can be overwhelming but it is easier than you think by only giving them the power to create something very special for them like the best dessert that they can share with the family.
Dani loves to help me in the kitchen, just like I have shared before. I give a very simple tag and she delivers so great every time. I have learned that letting the kids know that they are able to do great things will help them build confidence and excitement for the outcome.
Since desserts are the easiest to put together we are sharing D.’s best dessert to share with the family. Check out this simple and delicious recipe:
Mini Yogurt Parfaits With Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
- Yogurt plain or vanilla
- Fresh berries. (strawberry cut in dice, blackberries, blueberries, Raspberries.) of course, you can use the fruit of your choice. (banana, Kiwi, mango, pineapple, ect)
- One pack of Voortman Fudge Striped Oatmeal Cookies
This is super easy for the kiddos and they can join and share the love during the festivities.
Start by putting 4 cookies on an Easter theme dish. then add one teaspoon of yogurt on top of the cookie and spread… is ok to be generous with the yogurt there is not wrong or right with this recipe. The most important part of these mini-parfaits is letting the kids be creative and playful with the fruit.
You know presentation is important! 😉
