This post has nothing to do with a Christmas story, this is our weekend before Christmas!! … First, I want to admit that we (my hubby and I) are procrastinators, we always; every year start thinking about what our Christmas will be like and what to get for the kids… I can say that the conversation starts about half way thru the year and here we are just one week away until the big day and still don’t know what to get them .. :-/
I personally love this time of the year, the lights on the street, the decorations on the houses, the holiday movies, ect, I always get full of the Christmas Spirit and for us, is also the moment to have a little time out from the kids and the house and the craziness of our daily work. Typically, with all the hard thinking we do all half of the year.. (Yeah, right!!) wait until one week before Christmas to go out and start searching for the “perfect Christmas gift” for our kids..
I can confess that by this time we find good deals but we also find long lines everywhere we go (thankfully we are not the only ones that wait until last minute) .. Toy stores, Electronics stores, Department Stores, Video Games places, EVERYWHERE is pack with people trying to get the best gift for their love ones… We try to make our shopping at night, during the day me spend our time with the kids and at around 6 p.m we left them with my parents and head over to the stores.
GOD BLESS ALL GRANDPARENTS OUT THERE FOR HELPING OUT AND LOVING THEIR GRANDCHILDREN!!!
I personally don’t like to wait on line and that is why I don’t even shop for myself however, standing there with my husband give us more time to chat and share our crazy ideas just like we used to do at the beginning of our relation almost 14 years ago. 🙂
Are you like us that leave everything for last minute or are you the one that likes to plan ahead?
Thank you for reading and Happy Holidays for you and your family!!
I share my post with this great link-up…
I hate crowded shops so it’s online for me! I also am like you and leave things like our special Christmas food to the last minute. Thanks for sharing with #overthemoon
I’m a huge fan of online shopping so the only thing we had to go to the store for was food and some wrapping paper. Thanks for sharing your story at the Over the Moon Link Party. Merry Christmas!
