Rodeos have food vendors, but they’re expensive, and your kids might get hungry more often than you’re willing to pay for. They might also get snacky in the middle of an event when you don’t have time to wait in line at a food truck.
Instead, pack some small, filling snacks to practice frugal living and save time in line. And remember to bring reusable water bottles. You’ll need to hydrate throughout the day, but we’re not about spending 3 dollars every hour just for water.
Teach Rodeo Etiquette
Rodeo energy can make it hard for little ones to sit still! But it’s important that they respect the event’s rules and other attendees. Before arriving, take a few minutes to explain behavior expectations. Encourage clapping and cheering to show appreciation for the riders, but also remind kids about staying seated and keeping their excitement contained when an event MC is talking.

Between the announcers, the music, and the roaring crowd, rodeos are loud. Some kids might find the noise overwhelming, especially if it’s their first time at an event like this.
